About Us

At Dolphin Day Nursery and Preschool we offer a friendly, comfortable, safe and welcoming environment where children are treated as individuals, allowing them to grow in independence and confidence at their own pace. Our dedicated team of staff understand that children learn best when they are safe, supported and loved. We work hard to provide a safe and stimulating environment where children learn through play. At Dolphin we follow the government's Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) to support all aspects of learning and development to support the transition to school. 

 

Children are based in age appropriate rooms and are encouraged to take an active role in the design, layout and displays of work within their environment we like the children to put their own stamp on their room. This helps the children develop a sense of ownership and independence within the nursery setting and to feel secure and in control of their nursery experience.

 

In April 2009 Dolphin Nursery were given a 'Good' rating by Ofsted.  You can download the report here.

 

We are conveniently located five minutes walk from Kingston mainline train station and bus station. We are also very close to the town centre and provide secure storage for pushchairs as well as providing on site car parking for easy drop off and pick up.
